From my own experience I know that you get through life better if you can speak and understand many languages. Everyone who grew up bilingual or multilingual knows how much this can make life easier. The earlier a child is allowed to learn a language, the easier and better it can succeed. I experience this myself in the upbringing of my own child, who is also growing up bilingually, and I also see it daily with the many children whom I have been teaching in Russian in Solothurn for more than 11 years.

I am a mother of two teenagers. I was born and raised in South Africa and my mother tongue is British English. I was fortunate enough to be educated in one of the most prestigious private girl’s schools in Johannesburg and after College I spent most of my career in Marketing and Advertising in the Corporate World, which culminated in me running my own Advertising Agency for more than 15 years before leaving SA.
My spare time, before I had children, was spent dancing. I was a member of AIDT (Association of International Dance Teachers) for many years.
I am very pleased to be asked to undertake the “Kindergruppe” (Playgroups and Preschoollevel), teaching them the language while having fun with songs, rhymes, stories and games.
I absolutely adore children and have always wanted to be a teacher, so I am extremely excited to meet and share my love of the English language with your precious children.

Novgorod State University:
Field: Romano-Germanic Philology

Degree: Philologist, French/English language teacher.

I am a qualified language teacher (University of Novgorod, Russia and internship at Nancy University, France).
In Russia I taught at school and since 2005 I have been giving private lessons in French and Russian as a foreign language in Switzerland.
I am married and have one daughter (15 years old). I like reading, cooking and discovering new countries while travelling. For this I use different languages that I know: Russian, German (Swiss-German), French and English. Now I’m learning Spanish.
Languages fascinate me a lot. I try to pass on my enthusiasm when teaching.

AYSIN YESILKIR

German teacher - Tutoring

I was born and raised in Geneva. I did my schooling and training in French. Although I spoke German with my parents at home, I can say French is my second mother tongue.

I moved to German-speaking Switzerland when I was 27. Here too I have always sought contact with French speaking people.

With my four children I have always had the experience that children are very curious and learn new things quickly. Children imitate what they observe and hear.

I’ve been a playgroup leader for three years. The request to lead a group of children in French gives me great pleasure. I find it very exciting to introduce children to a foreign language with songs, verses, stories, games and so on.

I was born in Dublin, Ireland, where I lived with my parents and family. I attended primary, secondary school and college there.

After qualifying with a bachelor of arts degree in geography and economics from University College Dublin, I decided to become a secondary school teacher and absorbed a higher diploma in education, a teaching qualification.

I taught 12-18 year old teenagers at secondary schools in Ireland.

Later I married in Switzerland and raised two sons, who are now young adults.

In the 1990´s I decided to specialize in teaching English as a foreign language , (TEFL), and attended courses, seminars and workshops on this subject. Teachers are trained in deliberate, neutral pronunciation techniques in order to absorb the many types of English being spoken globally, e.g. British/Euopean, American, Australian, Indian etc.

I have been teaching adults, teenagers and children in Switzerland for at least fifteen years in private language schools.

Children can enjoy early language learning while they are young, curious and enthusiastic.

The language classroom provides a fun and rewarding experience with lifelong benefits.

Hello, dear parents and children

My name is Aysin Yesilkir, I am married and a mother of four.

I have been working with children for 20 years and I still love to accompany them in their development as I did on the first day.

In addition to my training as an EFZ early childhood educator and certified playgroup leader, I have completed further training that qualifies me to teach German as a second language (DAZ) in preschool children.

I would now like to use this knowledge and my many years of experience in the children’s language school “Merry-go-round”.
